Today is the end of the jetlag! Yay!
Our first single Follow Me Home has gone to radio, NRJ for those in Stockholm. Sweet. My dream of hearing myself on the radio is soon to be reality!
Today we met up with Ilya Knockdown of Crossfade Music. A prodigy producer/writer signed to Warner-Chappell as well. We had a lot of fun working on another pop tune. Might be our last time in that office since they are moving to another building in Odenplan.
No pix to post - we were busy working! :) Then we had a listening party in Julle's office, so many kinds of great music out there. We heard a sneak peek of the new Glee finale song and it's gonna be a smash! It's weird to be mixed into this Swedish pop world as indie artists, but a strong pop sensibility is important, and will always have a special presence in our tunes. Genres Schmenres, Labels Schmabels...good music that is fun is what it's all about. We are learning so much and are so grateful for all of these opportunities here in Sweden.
Time to munch on some Wasa, Cheese and Pear, and fall to sleep to some favorite Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes. :)

STHLM Day 5
Our first day off! And it is sunny and beautiful. Winter weather is actually really fun when you're dressed for the occasion and warm. Everyone looks so cozy and cute bundled up, especially the cute kids in their full suits.
First we went to our favorite brunch spot to get American Pancakes which are very different from Swedish pancakes. Those are more like crepes. We got blueberry with bacon - mmmmhhhhh!!!! It was so crowded, we were there at 11 when it opened and there were already tons of Swedes ready to get their hangover meal on.

Then we went for a nice Sunday afternoon stroll through the old town and saw the Swedish guard...not sure what was happening but their ears must have been really cold!
Mini True found a poster that was too hard not to photograph! :)

STHLM Day 4
Another writing day! Jetlag is getting better. Woke up to a little sun peeking through.
First we had lunch at our favorite spot, so great to be back! Non Solo Bar is Italian and the espresso is just the best! And they have Halloumi cheese in a salad, yummy yummy yummy. And amazing sandwiches, the bread here, I just can't say enough.
Definitely some light snow remnants, it feels Christmas-like here still. They leave their decorations up a bit longer than in the US, I guess cus the Americans are on to the next made-up holiday to target consumers. Gotta love capitalism =P.... Snow on cars allows sophisticated artwork right up Matt's alley.
Then we had a writing session with Oscar Holter. It went great. We worked out of Lionheart International, a great studio with an Indiana Jones pinball machine!!!

STHLM Day 3
Ah.... today the jet lag is winning. So tired. And at a dark 4:30 it feels like 10:30. It is super cold, and I'm amazed how many Swedes are OK with just a leather jacket and converse. They are hardcore!
We've been having fun prepping our single release...trying to get the artwork sorted out, radio station interviews set up, and pushing the song in rotation. Watched a rough version of the video and we love it already, it's gonna be dope.
Then we went to the Valhalla Bageriet (Bakery) on recommendation from our friend Malin. All we can say is : Wow. It's a real-deal phenomenal European bakery with gorgeous whole grain breads. We had a cinnamon bun, a cardamom bun, and this hummus and carrot baguette...why doesn't this exist more in America?!?!?! Just delicious, and there's no guilt eating bread when it's this yummy, fresh, and nourishing.

Matt got the Nexus synth so expect some awesome electro tracks as usual! :)
Peace.

STHLM Day 2
So we are pretty jetlagged but not too bad. Those "No Jet Lag" herbal remedy pills from New Zealand sold at Whole Foods works quite well!
We had a great day and still more to do. It is COLD!! and lightly snowed. We met our team at Universal and we are stoked about what''s to come. We recorded some blurbs/clips for radio stations and blogs which was unexpected but a great experience. Thanks to Skip at SkipTV we've had some practice interviewed in front of the camera, and we did some blurbs for Tastemakers Magazine's radio podcast so we weren't virgins in that regard.
Then we had a yummy company lunch. I had an Asiatisk Wallenburger with edamebonor (LOL!)..so yummy!
Then we went to Cosmos Studio where Axwell frequents but we didn't meet him. We started a song called "Break The Law" with an amazing producer/writer named Tony Nillson. We met him in LA last year and it was such a great experience collaborating. It's always fun to see other producers' processes and tricks and we definitely absorbed new info like a sponge.
Another reason why Tony is amazing is because he got us CHOCOLATE COVERED BILAR!!! Our favorite!!!!
Now we have to have dinner and compile our photos/bio for the label.
Oh, and one last pic for Jeremy. Look what they are selling at the organic cafe just downstairs from our hotel!
God Natt.

First day in STHLM
And so the trip begins with a publishing meeting and seeing old friends. And of course a big bag of Swedish candy and Jordgubb-Lime Ramlosa!
We love the wholesome food here. Bulgur (kinda like a couscous-pilaf) with chicken, roasted corn, spinach, green, red, & yellow peppers, lettuce & feta cheese, called the Marrakesh salad, so good!
Here's us at the Warner-Chappell office:
We are staying in a very central area and love that we have our own balcony. Here are 2 shots, the night sky and the morning sky! The night sky was a BIG full moon and you could watch the clouds rolling by.

It's great having a view above the rooftops...so European, we love it!!!!
